Case study

Kinder Egg Toy Launcher

This project focused on designing a compact toy mechanism that fits inside a Kinder Egg and launches a toy/object to approximately 3 meters. Our concept used a toy soldier launcher with a parachute payload, balancing packaging constraints, launch mechanics, and repeatable user interaction.

The brief

Challenge

Create a toy that could reliably propel an object to around 3 meters while fitting the complete experience inside a Kinder Egg shell.

Approach

What we made

We designed and tested a toy soldier launcher concept with a parachute payload, iterating geometry and mechanism behavior to balance launch force, packaging, and usability.

  • Designed a launch mechanism to reach a 3-meter target range.
  • Packaged launcher + toy soldier + parachute within Kinder Egg constraints.
  • Validated launch behavior across iterative physical tests.

Outcome

Results

Delivered a functioning Kinder Egg toy concept with full component packaging and repeatable launch demonstrations captured on video.
